FLIR Systems continues support for CAP’s ACE Program

NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS – FLIR Systems Inc. has made a substantial donation to Civil Air Patrol’s K-6 Aerospace Connections in Education (ACE) Program for the second straight year, with the company’s director of Air Force programs, Jonathan Warren, presenting Don Rowland, CAP executive director, a check for $5,000 during a visit to National Headquarters.
FLIR, the global leader in Infrared cameras, night vision and thermal imaging systems, has been a supporter of CAP’s National Board and Conference. The company decided last year to expand its support to CAP’s youth development.
“We at FLIR recognize the need for strong educational programs that will prepare the youth of our country for the increasing need to maintain national security,” Warren said.
“When we support youth programs that aim toward technological careers, we are helping to ensure America’s workforce is armed with the knowledge and the patriotism needed to provide air, land, sea and cyber defense for our nation.
“We are pleased to support CAP’s efforts in this crucial area.”
The ACE Program is designed to integrate the aerospace theme in a cross-curricular manner in classrooms across America. It includes three basic elements that address major issues for the nation’s schools:
