CP18 – CAP Aircraft Familiarization Flight.

On Saturday 24 March 2012, CAP Senior Member Patrick McNamara and Senior Member Earl Burns participated in a Civil Air Patrol Cessna aircraft familiarization flight. Captain Steven Florio of Coastal Patrol 18 provided the Certified Flight Instructor training to McNamara and Burns at Taunton Municipal Airport. They will continue to train towards being CAP certified Cadet Orientation and Mission Pilot status. Both McNamara and Burns will also be attending the March 2012 Mass Wing Conference (Springfield MA) and will participate in a Mission Scanner class. This will fulfill the ground class requirements that all Mission Pilot trainees are required to have.
